DEARBORN, Michigan – (April 12, 2017) Carhartt, America’s premium workwear brand since 1889, today announced Steve Brennan as its newly appointed vice president (VP) of data strategy and analytics.
Brennan is responsible for aiding Carhartt’s various business functions in their decision-making processes, as well as improving customer experience by driving an enterprise data management strategy.
“Throughout his career, Steve has accumulated an extensive amount of experience in driving strategy and analytics in data-rich business environments,” said Carhartt’s Chief Information Officer John Hill. “We’re excited that he’s joining our team, where he can use his expertise to provide tactical and strategic direction to the areas of data management, analytics, and visualization.”
Prior to joining the Carhartt team, Brennan had previously worked with Quicken Loans, where he served as the VP of the IT Center of Excellence from 2014-2016, the VP of database engineering from 2013-2014, and the director of business intelligence from 2007-2012.
Brennan earned his Bachelor of Science degree in computer science from The University of Michigan – Dearborn in 2002. Additionally, he led the team that won the Best Practices Award from The Data Warehouse Institute in 2010, and served as a board member for the Data Management Association of Michigan from 2012-2015.
Brennan’s appointment is effective immediately.
